For the Bhutanese context the model has been adapted: permanent tented structures (semi-permanent rather than seasonal canvas; decking, structural framing, and bath facilities all permanent); the canvas component covers the principal living and sleeping spaces (the atmospheric differentiator); full-service positioning including substantial bath facilities, climate control, and all the premium-lodge amenities. The 'tented' tradition is atmospheric rather than rustic. New in Bhutan — none of the other premium operators (Amankora, Six Senses, COMO) operate in this register.
